A new luxury spa is set to open up at a countryside hotel in Cheshire this year. Manor House Hotel in Alsager will begin opening up its new offer from Easter.

The first phase of the spa, touted as a new ‘destination’ in the county, will launch on April 14. It will include a 15-metre ‘serenity swimming pool’ with surrounding boardwalk, glass ceiling, sofas and an ‘ Instagram worthy’ hanging day-bed.

Poolside there will be a new Finnish sauna and steam room, while three new treatment rooms have been built within the original farmhouse. These include a relaxation lounge for post-treatments.

In the new courtyard outside, a Salt Shed experience offers a Himalayan Salt wall, lavender cauldron and ergonomic seating where guests can relax in 40-degree heat. They can also experience a guided meditation session.

Announcing the first phase opening of the spa, Jessica Mellors, general manager, said: “The development of our beautiful new spa is part of our mission to become a leading leisure destination and bring an exciting new spa experience to the area. The new spa complements our successful Hotel & AA Rosette restaurant offering and will enable us to offer guests a wider wellbeing experience.”

The new spa will also have an ‘English spa garden’, construction of which is due to be completed by autumn. When finished, it will offer users views of the Cheshire countryside.

The hotel is based in what was a 17th-century farmhouse and is locate on the southern outskirts of Alsager off Audley Road. It boasts 52 bedrooms, conference and banqueting facilities, as well as AA Rosette-winning restaurant The Stables Bar & Grill.
